Decision-making for a better world.
Global Strategic Corridors Institute (GSCI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research institution whose mission is to provide policymakers with objective information and rigorous scientific analysis. We deliver independent perspectives untouched by political or commercial pressures — perspectives that may help leaders make the best possible decisions.
Today's world faces complex challenges — natural and human-made alike, from climate change to a range of energy crises. Our work is to provide the most objective, science-based perspective possible through broad collaborative research and analysis, drawing on wide-ranging practical experience to help improve policy and support better decision-making.
Evidence-based decision-making can make the world better and benefit every nation and every people.
GSCI's team draws from experts across countries and disciplines — natural sciences, cutting-edge science, policy analysis, statistical analysis, capital management, law, investment, communications, and operations. We recruit local researchers wherever our projects are based to ensure our findings reflect on-the-ground realities.
Our funding comes from government grants, international organizations, universities, research institutions, professional associations, other nonprofits, philanthropies, and the relevant private sector. This diverse funding base is the fundamental guarantee of our research independence.
Beyond our core research, we deliver rigorous, high-quality, forward-looking tailored services: strategic development planning, project evaluation & optimization, risk assessment & analysis, cost control & benefit analysis, policy analysis & strategy, performance measurement & monitoring, and technology assessment & development.
We do not bow to received authority. We fully embrace the latest advances in science and technology, promote global peace and sustainable development, and strive to ensure all research outputs are simultaneously forward-looking in science and technology and practically implementable in engineering.
GSCI maintains offices in two of the world's most strategically connected cities. Our China office in Hong Kong provides direct access to Asian financial markets, regional diplomatic networks, and mainland China's research and policy communities. Our Toronto office positions GSCI at the heart of Canada's most international city, with reach into North American policy circles, leading universities, and a uniquely diverse global talent base.

To ensure our research reports reflect local realities as accurately as possible — and to strengthen the real-world applicability of our findings — GSCI recruits a number of Assistant Researchers for each project, who work alongside GSCI researchers throughout the project lifecycle.
These positions are typically open to current Master's students or recent graduates in relevant fields. The activity is usually conducted in partnership with universities and research institutions in the project region.
Through this programme, GSCI aims to provide local young scholars with substantive research experience and meaningful professional development, while cultivating local researchers who can support the long-term implementation of our projects.
Embedded research roles for Master's-level students and graduates, co-designed with local universities.
Opportunities span the Middle East, North America, Central Asia, China, and the Caribbean.
Programmes conducted in collaboration with partner institutions in the project region, ensuring local knowledge and long-term impact.
Work at the intersection of natural sciences, policy, data analysis, and engineering for real-world solutions.
GSCI closely monitors major global security challenges and the issues most debated by peers worldwide.
